My Second Dive at Gildenburgh!
Hi everyone! 👋
Today was my second dive at Gildenburgh, and it was soooo much fun! I was super excited when we got there because I’d been before, so I wasn’t as nervous this time. Last time I felt like there were butterflies in my tummy, but today I just couldn’t wait to get into the water! 🐠💦
We started by putting on all our gear — it always feels a bit heavy at first, but once you’re in the water it’s like floating in space. My dive buddy was Ian again, which made me really happy because he’s so much fun to dive with. He always makes me laugh, even with all the equipment on!
Our first dive was awesome. We practiced some of our skills, like blowing bubbles with our octopuses (the spare regulator, not a real octopus! 😂). We also had to take off our masks and fill them with water — I don’t really like that part because the water gets up my nose, but I’m getting better at it each time.
When we were swimming around, we saw the red dog statue again under the water. It’s kind of funny seeing a dog sitting down there! We also found the pool table and had a little look around it. Then we went to the bus, which is one of my favourite parts. It’s so cool to swim through something that used to drive on land! I like pretending I’m going to school in an underwater bus 🚌🌊.
We were only allowed to dive down to 12 meters, but I can’t wait until I’m older and can go deeper and explore all of Gildenburgh. I wonder what other cool things are hiding down there… maybe even a shark (okay, probably not, but that would be awesome 😄).
After the dive, we had some hot chocolate to warm up, and I felt so proud of myself. Diving makes me feel brave and free — like I can do anything. I can’t wait for my next dive! Maybe I’ll see the red dog again, or find something new under the water.
Until next time,
Aqua Aurora🐬💙
